A Girl in Red Scarf is the brainchild of Ruchika Goel, whose passion for travel has always taken her to offbeat places around the globe. She gets it from her father who explored the world in an era where travelling was beyond a luxury.
Chasing Passion
In the early 2000s, long before A Girl in Red Scarf was born, Ruchika booked a trip to Brazil with her friends through a travel agent. Her first big international trip with her friends – she went in with high hopes. However, she was extremely disappointed at how badly organized the whole trip was, and realised then that there had to be a better way to travel.
With a knack for planning and research, she took it upon herself to plan all future holidays with friends and family so that they experience utmost delight and comfort in their travel adventures. Soon she became known as a travel guru in her circles, where friends of friends started reaching out to her for travel advice.
Traveling with loved ones is her love language, and she extended that same love to organizing trips for anyone who asked. Eventually, it began to encroach on her family business and personal time, but her giving nature persisted. In 2017, she finally transformed this love into a side hustle, a passion project.
The Turning Point
The passion project began by charging a small fee for her travel planning services because of the extensive research she does to give clients something local, something offbeat, something they can’t easily find on Google. All the while, she continued planning the most beautiful family vacations for her own family and gaining more experience in her the field of designing travel plans.

Along the way, her friends started celebrating their landmark birthdays and anniversaries at exquisite locations, all planned by Ruchika. She became a master of orchestrating extremely iconic celebrations for large groups of people all across the world.

7 years later, she has planned 100s of trips to places across the world. She finds joy in showing people an alternative way to travel because she truly believes that travel can be the greatest teacher if you look outside the tourist’s checklist. What makes her special is her empathy toward people. This gives her the unique ability to understand a client’s style of travel and curate completely personalized travel plans for them. With her extensive experience through personal travel and many itineraries in her portfolio, she creates memories that last a lifetime.

Growing up in a household where wanderlust was not just a passion but a way of life, Nishika was immersed in the world of exploration and cultural exchange from an early age. Now, at age 23, she is poised to enter into the realm of travel, inheriting her family’s legacy and infusing her mother’s travel venture with new vitality. Drawing from her innate love for storytelling and her keen eye for aesthetics, Nishika weaves captivating travel narratives with her unique perspective and youthful energy.
